Core to ACMG’s consulting practice is our annual 20-year Freighter Aircraft Forecast. This Forecast — the only independent forecast of its kind — predicts total demand for freighters to meet growth and replacement needs in three possible scenarios for market demand.
In forecasting demand by aircraft model within any size category, ACMG uses a top-down approach to establish the overall demand in FTKs. Then it uses a combination of objective and subjective measures to establish the distribution by aircraft model. This process becomes a “zero sum game.” Thus, new aircraft introduced to the market are reflected across the Forecast’s time frame.
Our goal is to develop a reasonable estimate of future freighter demand based on a logical set of ground rules. Within this overall objective our goal is to treat individual aircraft in a fair and unbiased way.
